Inaugural content post, hurrah!
TLDR: A whole lot of maxis meshes, mainly from Apartment Life, recolored in Icad's wood palette and thirty-six of Aelia and CuriousB's colors.
A short list of the things I recolored for this set:
[ socialite sofa + socialite loveseat | socialite living chair | socialite dining chair | socialite end table | socialite dining table | endlessly winding spiral stairs | discourse table | mysterious bookcase | renaissance bookcase | craftmeister booknook + dahlen library bookcase ]
Color palette for all socialite-ism redux downloads:
It's thirty-six fabric colors and twenty woods. Combinitorics teaches us that that makes seven hundred and twenty combinations. Make the numbers work for you. Those medallions in the wood samples are the inlaid tops of the socialite end table. There is a unique medallion for each wood color, but unfortunately, these are not selected separately from the wood. You get what you get.
I have not yet done any metal finishes for this set, nor have I done the socialite lamps, although I do plan to do them in the future, as well as the Nouveau floral lamps I am so fond of. I have also already done the two tile instyle closets from AL, but as the colors seem a little dark or weird, I will refrain from releasing these for now.
I got started making the precursor to this set while working on my Santee Metropolis's Christmas in July present. She said she was fond of maxis mesh recolors, so I immediately thought of the Socialite Set, with its few recolors and unhelpful starter colors. I made her four recolors of that set, including several random meshes I always use in my parlors. Working on those first four made me realize that I was itching to make the set even more pleasing to me and hopefully to others, and so as soon as Socialite-ism was born, Socialite-ism Redux went into production.
I chose Icad's palette of woods because I really like her colors and find them useful and pretty sufficient at covering the spectrum. I already use her stair and fence recolors, along with lots of her hardwood floors, so it just made sense to me. Then I went and made a list of the Aelia and CuriousB colors I thought suited this set (and ultimately myself XD) the best. After that it was just a lot of tedious busy work, but I am quite happy with the result!
Anyway, I do plan on making some more sets like this in the future, like with the Seasons wood furniture and with the sleigh nursery set, and I will be using Icad's woods and probably that same set of fabric colors I have already selected for consistency. I also have some odds and ends that are meant to compliment this set (SR Extras?) that I hope to post soon as well: fireplace, overmantle, grandfather clock, curtains, and of course those closets.
Okay, now that you've read all that, how about some downloads? Woods are separate from fabrics to allow the greatest level of freedom of choice. Fabrics are sorted into subsets as per the swatch at the top. When something is listed like this "Rodney Dangerfield + Maya Angelou" it means those two objects are master-slaved, and there is only one set of textures for multiple pieces of furniture.
